ROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE

The Divine Miracle

By Michael Hewison & Ian Rowley.

Christ’s birth/life in Isaiah 53 was predicted hundreds of years before, written in the scriptures.

Mathew 1; 22-23

This all happened so that what was said by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled: it said, (23) “Look, a virgin will conceive and have a baby boy, and they shall name him ‘Emmanuel’, (which means in translation: ‘God with us’.” (Isaiah 7:14)

Christ was born 2000 years ago for a reason, to bring people back to God.

The birth of Christ was Gods new covenant with his people of the world.

His birth was a gift of love for all who would believe.

It was the start of mans salvation, the wonderful plan of redemption.

The real Christmas story is the story of God's becoming a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ. God did this because He loves us! God did this because we needed a Saviour!

Gods wonderful plan of redemption, of mans salvation had begun, His great plan of love for all his people of the world, and 33 years later would finally come to fruition when he would overcome the sins of the world.

God did this because He is love itself (1 John 4:8). God is love.

Christ’s birth was to change the world.

All who would believe in him would be saved for eternity.

His birth would, and will bring joy, peace and happiness into our lives.

He birth and our belief in him would give us hope a future and a reason for being here.

Christ’s birth was to change mankind.

He would be born a king, but not as we know it, not coming in a chariot (but a donkey) not in a palace (but a stable) a king of, and for the people.

We should celebrate his birth then, but we should also celebrate his birthday now, as he is alive today and he is here today.

Christmas is a time of love, a time together, a time to gather in fellowship with family, and our family in God.

Giving of presents, being happy with people we love.

Talking to people about Christmas, it means something different to us all, some say gift’s, remembering Jesus, family, missing members of their family others sitting and having dinner with family and friends.

Personally for me it’s being at home on Christmas day, all day at home, quiet and peaceful. Seeing my daughters faces light up when they open their presents.

But to us as Christians it’s a time to remember the greatest present, the greatest gift of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus wants to give everyone, the best present this Christmas, he wants to invite us to his birthday party, the invites there, just waiting to be received and then his present and the gift of the Holy Spirit will be given to us. Remember his present would be the best present we could ever wish for, full of endless surprises and we never stop unwrapping this one, layer after layer the gift is endless and forever. And when we receive this gift, our faces will light up with the ‘light of the world’, Jesus Christ.

What do you think Jesus thinks at Christmas?

People only remember to eat and drink, the gifts, the parties and nobody remembers me. I would like this Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life. I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save you. Today, I only want that you believe this with all you heart.

Do you know how you can answer this invitation? By accepting me as your saviour, or by extending it to others whom you care for...

I'll be waiting for all of you to attend my party this year...

See you soon..... I love you ! Jesus

Why do we celebrate Christmas each year? Out of our love for what he has done for us, out of remembrance for what God’s done, we remember His birth by giving each other gifts, worshipping Him. Some of us don’t have money, but we have love to give and tell others about the gift of Jesus. The poor in heart and the lost and lonely. Lets pray for them this Christmas.

So lets celebrate Jesus’ birthday with joy, peace goodwill to all. Let us sing with a joyful heart today for he is here and with us today.

Lets pray and praise Jesus together, joining together for all that he has done for us.

For our families and for our friends and our fellowship in church here today and everyday if we want.

Lets be really happy and sing together the carols at Christmas.

May Jesus dwell in you richly today and everyday? And may you leave this site truly blessed.

God bless you all, Amen.
